Melancholy Miracles (Week 83)

Monday, March 3, 2025    8:59pm

Hi everyone, how you doing?

Sheesh, what a week. First off, we found this dude, Juan Ignacio. Awesome dude, he had talked to Sister missionaries a while ago and enjoyed the conversation enough to talk with us. He doesn't have very strong opinions about the existence of God, but he enjoys learning about religions, so he read one of the folletos, asked some good questions, and immediately was like, 'I have to read this book so I can have an opinion,' so that same day we delivered a Book to his house through a bit of rain, which surprised him but ya know, it's what we do. He's really cool, I can already tell that if he prays about the Book, he will receive and have a very strong testimony.

Passed by our older friends, Marili and Cacho, and they're bit by bit progressing. We got them to read a bit of the folletos with us and talked about baptism and the necessity of being baptized the same way Christ was. They'll probably need that lesson again, and probably a few other ones too, but all with time I suppose. Hopefully they can meet a member soon and make it to church as well, I know they'd make a lot of good progress there.

Had a noche de hogar/dinner with a family who's really close to making it to the temple and getting sealed. We shared this cute video about a Polynesian family that sacrificed a ton to make it to a temple in New Zealand which was really far away, they enjoyed it a lot. And what's even better, they had invited a friend and her husband to ear dinner too, and she came to church with them on Sunday as well! Pretty freakin cool, we should be having another noche de hogar on Wednesday with all of them.

There were a lot of moments where we weren't able to leave the house this week, like when it rained pretty bad, people came and painted our house, people came and put an AC unit in our house. Quite a few things, right? I know what yall might be thinking, why the heck are they fixing up an Elder pension?

Well have I got some news for you: Hermanas are coming to Balcarce. Yup, now that there are two pensions here, the decision was made to move me and Elder Jensen out and getting the chicas in, which honestly could be great for Balcarce, there's a lot of single ladies here. (~Now put your hands up!~)

So yeah, I'll be moving closeby, to the other zone in Mar del Plata, I'll have an area called San Martin. Should be awesome! I'm excited!

It's also late! Once again! I love you all see you next week!
