Talking, Walking, Reminding (Week 91)

Hi everyone! Good evening! I was terrible today and didnt start writing this until very late, so it'll be short!

We found Gabriela, a younger mom who likes the idea of getting baptized again! She's really nice and we were able to give her a Book of Mormon a few days ago! I'm excited to see if she's read anything yet!

We found Andrea, another younger mom who was really intrigued by our mission! She thought that we were Jehovah's Witnesses at first, but we explained everything and now we've got a lesson with her and her husband tomorrow!

We found Gustavo, a member who's been inactive for a while! We walked to his house on Sunday to take him to church with us, he came with us and loved it! His mom isn't a member, but is really supportive!

Talked to a lot of people that seem interested! Hopefully we find them again this coming week!

I read a lot of Jesus the Christ this week! I love my Savior, He is the coolest guy ever!

We went to the beach! Yay! I tasted the salt in the air again and loved it!

WE'RE MOVING TOMORROW. I'm so sad. At least I won't be cooking for six anymore.

That's my week in bullet points! Hit 21 months this coming week! Wild!

I Know That My Redeemer Lives (Week 90)

Hi everyone! Happy day after Easter! Hope everyone's Holy Week was amazing!!

Just to start off strong, I actually was able to study a lot more about Jesus Christ's life, His Atonement, and His Resurrection this week than usual, and wow, I've been really able to feel His love for me in a much deeper way because of it! I turn back to the hymn 'I Stand All Amazed' a lot, because it encapsulates exactly how I feel about my Savior and His example of 'love and devotion' to us and the Father.

So! Outside of being absolutely filled with the Spirit, transfers happened this week! Elder Morán got here safely, albeit in the middle of the night, we slept as much as we could before 6:30, and we got to work!

Working with Morán is a lot of fun, he's a lot better at street contacts than I am, so because of that we've been able to get the numbers of a few people that seem pretty cool! We've got a lot of lessons set up for this week, gonna cross our fingers and pray a lot and hopefully they come through!

Had a really fun family home evening with the Familia Riquelme, a younger member family with two higher energy boys, where the parents gave an awesome lesson about Jesus and His last week of life, and we were able to give them some of the cards the mission gave us for the members to give to their friends, it was so awesome. I mostly just enjoyed being around a family with a lot of movement going on, felt like home.

Speaking of members though, that was probably the theme of the week, was finding inactives and having lessons with actives. I've been able to get to know the ward pretty well at this point, and gosh I love these members. If this does happen to be my last area, there will be a very bittersweet parting in the end.

Well I think that's pretty much everything! I'm getting up there in the months now, but I'm still going strong! Totally miss all of you a ton, you're very often part of my prayers!
