Hi everyone! Good evening, how's yalls week been? Pretty awesome? Good, I'm glad.
Our week was pretty good as well, we started off having a really good lesson with the lady Noelia we found last week, and we were able to bring a few members along with us as well! One of them was baptized pretty recently, so she was able to share some powerful testimony about it, it was incredible! We have another lesson set up for tomorrow, if everything goes to plan, we should be able to maybe set a baptismal date with her!
The son of our Elder's quorum president here got home from his mission Friday morning, and as a very pleasant surprise to us, called us that night to see when he could go out and work with us! Well, luckily enough, we had a lesson set up for Saturday morning, and he was more than happy to come with us and help out. He's really excited to be able to get the work going in the ward, hopefully he's the spark we need to get everything shifted into a higher gear around here.
Per usual, the weather was unpredictable, being nearly hot at the start of the week, getting really cold the next day, and then raining all the next. Lovely. Even better, we have to work through all of it. Nothing better than trying to contact someone in the middle of pouring, freezing rain!
As many of you probably can assume, the best part of the week was getting to watch General Conference. I've been asking some members and other missionaries what they felt like they got out of Conference during the last evening and today, and I love how nearly everyone gets something different and important to them out of Conference, even when we all listen and watch the same thing.
What I personally loved this Conference was the focus on faith; as in what faith actually is, like it's definition, and how we can keep our faith strong through our day to day lives. I especially enjoyed the talk from the Elder Sandino Román, all about how faith is also a trust in God, in all senses of the word; trust in His power, trust in His plan, trust in His Son, and everything else. I had definitely been thinking a lot about how I can keep growing my faith after the mission, and I think I'll be able to put a pretty good plan together of how I'll be able to do that before the end. In end, I love General Conference, I love our prophet, I love this church, and I love Jesus Christ. I hope you all were able to feel that love too.
But yeah, that's been me! Tomorrow and Wednesday we have interviews with President and Zone Conference, so exciting! So yeah, I'll have a bit to splurge about again next week lol.
Love you all, have a great night and a great week! Read your scriptures and pray, every day!
