Calm Before the Storm (Week 46)

Monday, June 10, 2024   10:31am

Sup my homies away from home, how've yall been?

Per usual, this week was pretty cool, tends to be that way when you're in the service of the Lord

Firstly, Elder Bardales and I visited our friend Alejandro and had a great lesson about the Libro de Mormon. Elder Bardales had already mentioned the Book to him before and he was really interested in reading it, so we were able to give him one and he was really excited about it, especially after hearing that it was free haha. I'm excited to see what he's read and what he thinks, we bore some very powerful testimony about how the LdM has changed our lives, and he seems really into it, hopefully we can get him to church soon!

Speaking of getting to church, our longtime friend Willy was able to make it to church yesterday! He's been making some really awesome progress recently, and he himself says that he's on the right path towards baptism and everything, but he doesn't think he's quite ready yet, so we'll keep working with him.

We actually weren't able to work a lot in our area this week, because we had Zone Conference last Friday! I call it the 'calm before the storm' because this one was President Marsden's last one in our zone! Which means this next one will be with our new president, and while I'm sure he'll be amazing, he mission will definitely be a little flipped around for a minute while he's getting accustomed, but we'll see.

BUT ANYWAYS, Zone Conference. It was so awesome. All the leaving missionaries were able to bear their testimonies (including Elder Bardales), I got to see all the guys from my CCM district again after literally such a long time, and President gave a very good capacitation about revelation. He asked a lot of us what questions we had about the mission or just in general and reminded us that we can and should be going to our Heavenly Father with all of these things and asking for His help and counsel. As missionaries, it is necessary to seek His will and guidance for us, because, after all, this isn't our work, but His, and as long as we're guided by Him, whether we're missionaries or not, we will receive the blessings He has prepared for us. Gotta love the gift that is prayer, yall.

Welp anyways, hope you guys have a great week, remember to pray and trust God's will in everything!

Mucho amor, che!
